Devlog #0 Bug fixes and thoughts on how the playtest is going


0.16.0 Changes:

  • Changed layout of the inventory and UI buttons. (see above)
  • Increased the size of her ID and added text so it's easier to know her remaining health. (see above)
  • Added a "hint" system when you examine an item. Sam will make comments on what items you are examining.
  • Changes when the pickup animation plays.
  • Added in sfx when using items.
  • Modified the RNG values for all  House states.
  • Fixed accessories not being able to clear. This caused a bug where you never lose accessories.
  • Fixed a bug with manybodies having collision detection issues. (it didn't really cause any issues afaik).
  • Fixed a bug where patrolling monsters will get stuck in a room.
  • Fixed a bug where Monsters will continue facing the player while in an attack animation.
  • Fixed a bug where Restrainedes will play patrol noises while idle.

    So it's been around a week I think, since I first dropped the playtest and I'm very encouraged by the reception!  So I'd like to thank those that played, streamed, and viewed my game. It was great seeing players get creative with the combat system. I've been working on The Priestess mostly solo for almost 3 years now and dropping something at least playable is a great milestone in my eyes. People enjoying the game and watching them enjoy it is just icing on top.
